Mosaic Borders
The increasing use of mosaics has been brought about not so much as the result of a resurgence of interest but because the skilled craftspeople needed to produce fine work of this kind are comparatively few and far between. Times change - but not fashion it seems - these designs have been known throughout antiquity. These classic mosaic borders we offer today are made from pieces of tumbled stone that are applied to a mesh by hand, making them easy to lay as well as to transport.

Umbrian Gold
Equally at home in either traditional or contemporary settings the soft yellows in this most versatile of honed travertines harbour echoes of pale sunlight. The tiny irregularities that pit the surface in many of the unfilled stones add great charm to the floor. Some are filled with resins that give the laid floors their 'clean', smooth finish. The wide choice of sizes available provides a wealth of possibilities for the creation of patterns.
